As one of the largest high voltage contractors in Ontario, Ascent offers turnkey solutions for the engineering and construction of high voltage substations.

Flexibility to accommodate our customers’ needs is the keynote to our Design/Build options. Use of industry standard components allows for procurement ease should the need arise. Consideration of site specific features, growth opportunities/concerns and ability to expand are all incorporated into the design.

Continuity of service is crucial on many sites. If the installation is new construction, our focus is to meet the timelines of construction. If it's an existing facility, then our focus is maintaining operations with minimum downtime. Thinking outside the box creates opportunities that can save both time and money for both styles of construction.

Available through Ascent are unit substations of the TLO design (tamperproof, low profile, outdoor). These unit substations' design features include:

• Designed specifically for an S&C electric switchgear (integer style load break switch, SMD fuses)
• Minimal excavation as precast vaults provide frost free footings (CEC requirement)
• Enclosed equipment results in low maintenance

Our commitment to our customers does not end with the installation. Our Quality Assurance Program ensures follow up and assists in setting up manufacturers' recommended maintenance programs and ESA maintenance inspection as well. It is in the best interests of our customers to have a reliable, functioning system and to realize the long-term benefit of the investment made.
